H.264, which is a new generation of video compression standard, has good compressibility and complicated arithmetic. To reduce time cost, this thesis presents a new fast searching algorithm based on classic rhombus algorithm. The new fast searching algorithm, which has high applicated value, not only shortens the arithmetic time cost of motion estimation, but also keeps good view.Firstly, the thesis analyses the situation of current study of video encoder and decoder, introduces several video compression standards briefly, and studies the theory of video compression algorithm and the key technologies of H.264.Secondly, the thesis introduces some common used fast searching mode of motion estimation algorithm, analyses the traditional rhombus searching mode and develops a new scheme for the traditional rhombus searching mode, then rewrites code to test.Finally, the thesis transplants the rewritten code to DSP platform of TMS320C6000 series made by TI company, improves whole arithmetic efficiency ultilizing the advantage and characteristic of DSP to make the H.264 video compression standard serve widely for embedded terminals. |
