Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) has the characteristic of all-weather, day/night, long range, and high-resolution, and can enhance radar's information acquisition capability. As the development of the technology of SAR imaging, research on airborne SAR real-time signal processing has been an important subject. In the paper the principle of SAR imaging is introduced. The imaging algorithms based on raw data are given. Because the Doppler parameters are very important to the imaging, therefore we discuss the Doppler parameters estimation based on raw data in detail. In most cases, real-time SAR system is needed. The system which is defined by task and the system which is defined by data are detailedly discussed in the paper. The high-resolution imaging has already been widely applied in air-borne, missile-borne and space-borne radar. In some application, the latitude and longitude of an arbitrary pixel in SAR image is needed. In the case of the side-glance angle of beam is zero or small, an algorithm has been developed to determine the latitude and longitude of an arbitrary pixel in an air-borne strip mode SAR image. Error analysis of the algorithm is also made based on the parameters of some radar in the paper.
