With the gradually opening up of domestic insurance market, the competition among insurance industry is becoming fiercer and fiercer, especially in the field of reinsurance, which has put a great challenge on the service quality and management capability of reinsurance companies. Reinsurance industry, developed with the modern industry and commodity economy, can lower the risk through reinsurance, not only satisfying the needs of the insurance industry itself, but also obtaining the attention and support from governments.Since the domestic reinsurance industry started late and IT construction is relatively backward, especially for enterprise management information platform, the informationization of domestic reinsurance business still has some problems, such as dispersed resources, the complex of management and less convincing overall reliability. So, as a hub of business management and informationization technology, Minsheng Life Insurance Company has always been committed to the construction of the system of Minsheng Life Reinsurance with the support of modern information technology.Because of the wide variety of reinsurance business, there have been a lot of functions of the management system of Minsheng Life Reinsurance. Through the studies on reinsurance and various of development software used for developing the "Management System of Minsheng Life Reinsurance business", the author has accomplished the design and implementation of parts of sub-functions of the management system of Minsheng Life reinsurance business and implemented the functions of reinsurance based on the MVC model of Struts framework utilizing object-oriented technology.The full text is divided into five parts: In the preamble, the current status of informationization of reinsurance industry was introduced, with the lag of information technology in reinsurance and reasons behind the situation, pointing out that because of the changes of business operational and market competition, the information technology of reinsurance has becoming extremely urgent. It also presented the great significance of the implementation of information technology in the field of reinsurance. Finally, it gave a brief summary of the work done by author.The first part introduced the basic theory of insurance and reinsurance, including the relation of original insurance and reinsurance, and then the definition of insurance and reinsurance as well as the sub-entry and business of reinsurance.In the second part, there is the analysis of various software development technology used in the implementation of "Management System of Minsheng Life Reinsurance business". First of all, it discussed about the methodology of software development, pointing out the deficiencies of traditional structured approach; then introduced the basic concept of J2EE, J2EE architecture, J2EE core technology and J2EE application server; it also introduced the MVC model, the idea of MVC design and the advantages and disadvantages of MVC model; finally introduced the Struts framework, which provides information on the configuration of Struts applications, Struts basic components and Struts tag libraries.The third part mainly describes all the features and part of author's own independent participation in the "Management System of Minsheng Life Reinsurance business", including the operational environment, flow charts of systems and the main features. In this part, it gave the description of the background and objectives, followed by the operational flow charts and the structure of system in the "Management System of Minsheng Life Reinsurance business"and then made a detailed explanation of the development process of a more important function, which is called contract accounting, followed by detailed explanation of the author's independent participation in the "Management System of Minsheng Life Reinsurance business", which mainly include: code management systems, the retention of data query and statistical systems and data dump system; then write its operating environment, application mode and the main features of the model.It is the strategy of database modifying under multi-user environment used by Informix database in the Management System of Minsheng Life Reinsurance business that make possible all functional blocks of data query, modify, add, delete operation.In the last part, it sums up the work done by the author, including the advanced technology used in this work, and the advantages and shortcomings of the system.The second to the fourth part is the focus of the full text.
