CAI ?a the Computer Assisted Instruction has significant advantages in comparison with the conventional instruction methods. However, the conventional instruction method possesses its own multitude recourses and legacies. Incontestably, under this instruction way, the instructor can apply their intelligent skill to explain the complex question acceptably, and they can also use emotional and logical language to absorb the attention of students. So, eventually the oral teaching can?ˉt be instead totally with modern technologies, it will still be the major instruction way, such as lecture, showcase and practices etc.But, the disadvantages and limitation of the conventional instruction are also outstanding. The limitation is sourced from the transition function between teacher and text book. And the main disadvantages are the weak message and bad teaching personality, which are all definite by the transition function structure of conventional instruction method, and these problems can?ˉt be overcome. So for improving the teaching efficiency, the unique way is to transform the instruction transition structure, this will be withstood with computer, because it has the capability to store, processing, communicate and automatic handling. Therefore, the CAI courseware is an important symbol of instruction modernization.Microcomputer principle and interface technology is one of most important specialty fundamental course for the major of automation. In order to master the knowledge, the students must remember many IC structure, CPU instruction and assemble language, all these content are abstract, dry and hardly to understand. But based on the present situation of available CAI courseware, the student only can get simply indication and certain teaching plan via web site. These recourses can?ˉt fit the teaching procedure, so we need a completed system for interaction, direction and examination. This will be really full application of the computer CAI courseware.In this paper,it stated the designing of studying web and mainly discussed the designing and the making process of test system. Our test system is different from the other test system,which can easily available from the web or other sources. Traditional test system is based on the traditional question database. We expanded it to become a more comprehensive system , which has the function of examination,study,and evaluation.Concerning the web page design, we implement the main page, teaching plan, homework assignment, FAQ etc., which we construct with Dreamwaver, so fulfill the necessary functions.The test system that we created includes on-line simulated test function, capability examination, question maintenance and quiz paper issue. To fulfill these functions, we employ Visual basic environment for construction and programming, also it involves the technique of ADO which use for database, Object oriented, and data environment setting etc. Furthermore, the system uses SQL for query the data from the database. Based on the integration and interaction philosophy, the exam paper and testing system implements the following seven functions:1. To create an exam paperIn this function, it can choose the type and amount of question besides the question. We separate the interface into two parts, one as the zone of question choice and another one is for the type choice. Via the button in each zone, we can choose the corresponding items. To choose questions, you only highlight the question and then click the horizontal arrow, the question will be chosen. And repeat the above procedures; we can create the paper with the different types, such as filling, choosing, answering the question and drawing etc. It also fit the users?ˉdifferent rank of testing request.2. To answer the question on the paperThis function provides the interface for the operator to answer the question. Once create the paper, the user can go into the answering interface. That part also is divided into two parts, one display the question, another provide the text dialog box for user to input the answer. Then they can press the ?°next?±button till to finish all. After ensuring all the answers, user presses the ?°submit?±button to upload the paper.3. To evaluate the paperThis function can store the user?ˉs answer automatically, and can justify the answer. Once finish all the procedures of answer, the user can switch the interface of the justification. In this page, we divide it into three zones, i.e. the question zone, the reference answer zone and my answer zone. Their function is to display the question, the corresponding reference answer and the user?ˉs answer respectively. Concerning the choosing and true/false type, the computer can justify the answer automatically. The user just presses the ?°score?ˉbutton, they can get their score, and then press ?°confirm?±to record it.4. To maintenance the question databaseThis function provides the teachers three access functions, i.e. input new question, edit question and erase question.According to the routine of the database designation, the procedure concerns six steps, namely requisition analysis, concept structure design, logic structure design, physical structure design, implement database and performance and maintenance. Based on the concept structure to create the relations of the database, and standardize the relations. To construct the database, we choose Access 2000 as environment. Access is a powerful tool for small scale database management, which provide quite convenient interface for development. The data link between visual basic and access, we employ the ADO technology, which fulfill via creating an ADO environment in VB.After running and testing the system, it is proved that it achieves the purposes. And after using webpage and a test system, we find that the teaching result is improved and the achievement of students is advanced. From the feedback information, we conclude that the web solve the problem of preview, review and self-test. It will become a very powerful tool to facilitate the instructor to control and trace the teaching quality.
