The pattern of modern war based on high-tech in the future will be the combined operations of several army servers and network-centered distributed network operations. Deployment of army and arming of military affairs are imperative in the future of distributed network operations.The research and development of communication facility, which is as important as that of the weaponry, is the aim of military communication industry.With the rapid progress of wireless communication technology, the wireless network which is the expansion and supplementation of the current wired network is turning into an important part of the modern military communication infrastructure. The research and development of wireless special network will play an increasingly important role than that of the wired network in the coming few years. In other words, it will become the mainstream for military as well as civilian communication industries.Of all the wireless network systems, mobile self-organized network is now claiming the universal attention of military groups, research centers, colleges and other professions due to its flexibility, self-organization, self-recovery, and robust and multi-hop capacity.The establishment of distributed network operations for our army, navy and air forces based on the research of mobile self-organized network standard suitable for our military communication and detection is of great significance for improving our military compatibility and position in the world.This thesis reviews the history of mobile self-organized network with a focus on self-organized routing technology (typical table driven routing and on-demand routing arithmetic), studies the MIL-STD-188-220C multi-hop SON standard and analyzes its features and protocol architecture.The thesis describes two major functions of 220C Intranet layer, namely topology update and source directed relay, and further explores its uses with case studies.The key aspect of the current research is the technology of regenerate routing, with special emphasis on the revision and optimality of regenerate routing in 220C. This research promotes efficiency of regenerate routing, benefits routing convergence state, optimizes real-time routing, ensures the accuracy of packets and increases the self-recovery of the network. This thesis puts forward an uncomplicated optimal plan without having to revise other protocol layers and demonstrates that this plan, which embodies all functions of its predecessor, significantly reduces the packet capacity.A simulation model is implemented on the OPNET Modeler. By simulation and data analysis, this thesis confirms the validity of optimal plan advanced by the author.
