Analysis And Design Of Campus Networks Security

The traditional security solution based on Anti-Virus Software or Computer Firewall has failed to satisfy the present security of campus network.Firstly, the spreading speed of virus becomes more and more quickly, which has increased from the past calculation by month or week to today's second. Even worse, some virus can infect global server in 24 hours; this speed cannot be held back by man response, even completely automatic response cannot solve the problem immediately. Therefore, what people need to do is to establish an active network security system. Secondly, the operation system itself has a lot of holes, which makes it easier for the hackers to develop attack programs in a short period. Moreover, the period from discovering the holes to launching attacks is becoming shorter and shorter, ultimately, it will become zero, and then it has been too late to take measures or to install patches.In the light of present phenomenon and developing tendency of network security, in particular, of the network security of Chongqing College of Electronic Engineering, it is urgent to establish a uniform safety management platform and to take multiple security measures synthetically so that we can make the network get the quick and active defense before it is attacked and infected. At present, in Chongqing even all over the country, with the success of removing of Chongqing Higher Education Mega Center and the enrollment expansion, campus network has become more and more popular. Therefore, how to design and construct a safe and authentic campus network is a very significant topic. Based on the new campus network of Chongqing College of Electronic Engineering after the combination of two campuses, this dissertation introduces the whole foundation design of campus network security and the involved key technology. This dissertation is composed in the hope of providing valuable suggestions for the constructing of campus network.The dissertation, firstly, by discussing the challenges that the security of campus network face widely and their origins, points out the key problems that the construction of safety campus network need to solve; secondly, presents the key technology for the security of campus network, and on the guidance of PDRR network security model, analyzes the fundamental functions that the campus network security management of Chongqing College of Electronic Engineering should realize. In the following part, according to the security ideology–"the security of network should be the integration of static defense and dynamic defense, the synthesis of active defense and passive defense, and the combination of technology defense and management defense", the dissertation, employing the idea of network layered design, develops a basic network security platform suited to the College of Electronic and Engineering. Through the constructing of security management platform, with the purpose of effective integration with multiple network subassemblies (Router, Switch, Firewall, IDS and so on), the dissertation is to maximize the subassemblies'joint cooperation to ensure all terminal units'safety and to improve the security management level of campus network radically. What's more, in the dissertation, the realization of the key technology is demonstrated at length. Lastly, the dissertation sheds light on the security management object of the campus network of Chongqing College of Electronic Engineering and the emergencies, and then offers methods of constructing safety organizations and distributing the responsibilities of every department.
