SS7 (Signaling System 7) network is not only one of key part for modern telecommunication network, but also is significant component of telecommunication network engineering. Qingdao SS7 network had deployed over ten years, wide network coverage and complex network structure makes network maintenance becoming harder and harder. The traditional SS7 maintenance way is using instrument as troubleshooting tools. As network and service growth up, the instrument solution could not match current network troubleshooting and optimization requirement, building up SS7 surveillance system becomes important.SS7 surveillance system is a significant tool that could centralize the management and maintenance of SS7 network; provide telecommunication network guarantee of stability and safety. SS7 surveillance system delivers a comprehensive view of SS7 network in real time and centralizes monitoring, management and maintenance. System reports network fault and potential problems to NMC operator via graphic interface and report, so operator can identify and resolve network fault faster and more efficiently, any potential problems could be resolved in advance. Meanwhile, analyzing call failure cause improves network connectivity (CCR-call complete rate), increases customer satisfaction. We also use CDR resource provide various business intelligence service.Base on Shandong CNC Qingdao branch SS7 network operation status and it's SS7 network surveillance system engineering experience, I'll study the following two topics.1. How to build up an economical and efficient SS7 network surveillance system by adjusting SS7 network. Follow SS7 network design standard setup signaling network optimization and adjustment method in theoretically. A detail optimization and adjustment solution will be released via Qingdao branch signaling network environment.2.How to improve current toll network CCR calculation formula and method through SS7 surveillance system. Finally, I'll deliver a reasonable network CCR calculation formula and method.Setup test environment in qingdao branch toll switch center. Use SS7 surveillance system to investigate call situation in different scenario. Test result compares with switch output, recommend a reasonable CCR calculate formula and method .The two studies will be important reference information to NEM and telecom carrier.
