The history of computer development, not only is the history of the rapid enhancement of the processor speed and the storage capacity, but also is the progressive improvement of the Human-Computer Interaction Technology. Human-Computer Interaction Technology is developing so fast nowadays. It is widely used in education, military, physics, entertainment and so on. And the 3D human-computer interaction using virtual reality techniques can effectively simulate the actual scene and circumstances,so people can have a true, thick feeling. It is a competition focus of the information industries in the 21st century, and is a key technology in the researches around the world. This thesis plans to control the movement of the 3D object in the virtual world by sensing the body movement in front of the camera. To achieve this goal, the moving object detection and tracing theory is introduced. The Gaussian filter is used to filter the noise in original infrared image series and then the frame difference with background difference method is used to detect the moving object, then the opticalflow is used to analyse the moving. Then the information is used to control the movement of the 3D object. In order to make the virtual movement real, the dynamics theory is introduced to research the real-time simulation on the forces and the movement of the object. However, the speed of the human movement is hard to calculate. This thesis has used both theory and experiment analysis to compare three kinds of opticalflow methods in their camputation speed and applicable scope. The best suitable method is then decided. The thesis then researched the collision respond as well as the movement weaken problem of the 3D model in the virtual world. The impulse algorithm and the aerodynamic drag algorithm were presented in this thesis, and the experiments proved the effectiveness of the algorithms. In order to prove the feasibility of the above algorithms, this thesis has do the simulations with the DirectX technology and C++ language. And all the result is applied in the project"Virtual Football", which is one of the child projects in the key project, cooperated by Guangdong Science Center and EI department in Huazhong University of Science and Technology, as a background. The actual result shows that this research has an impressive effect on the human-computer interaction system.
