Virtual reality technology is very active in the technique research area in recent years, it gathered together the computer graphics,multi-media technique, artificial intelligence, human-computer interface technology, sensors technique, highly parallel real-time computing technology and human behavior research. In virtual environment, virtual humans improved the realistic and immersive. Virtual human technology is the essential topic for the research of human-fit virtual space and highly immersive virtual environment. It provides a new way for human when dealing with crucial problems, such as safety and healthiness, education and entertainment, product designing, etc al. So, 3D virtual human technology is the more crucial issues of the virtual reality system. Supported by the Guangdong province science center of"D19 Virtual ping pang", the work of this paper is to do research in virtual human motion control of virtual reality. The main researches of this dissertation are how to control the virtual human motion effectively and how to achieve the smooth transition of virtual human's walking motion and running motion.Firstly, this paper introduces the virtual human technology background and several ways of virtual human motion control, and gives the summary of the virtual human technology research state.Then this paper focuses in the virtual human walking control and does some in-depth research. First, we analyze the walking motion model, describes the main features of the different stages in the process of walking motion. According to the analysis, we make a more accurate analysis, thus making the process of walking motion simulation becomes more intuitive. Then, studies the key-frame, inverse kinematics and quaternion interpolation method, and gives the author's solution that believed to be practical. On this basis, designs a simulation system of virtual human motion control based on the OpenGL 3D graphics library, proves the feasibility of this theory and algorithms presented in this paper, and implements the smooth transition of virtual human walking and running motion.Finally, this thesis makes a summarization of the entire work and points out the future research direction.
