Along with the development of science and technology, the automatization in manufacturing is enhanced more and more. And people take more attention in the performance on the products and equipment. The information which the equipment need to gather and dispose is increasing; the speed and accuracy is also improving ; the manual work will left far behind the machines. Which led the machine vision be in need immediately. This technology can provide high precision, high speed and strong resolving power. Such demands are in a growing number of industries, particularly in the textile industry, such as the quality inspection about fabric surface. There is an urgent need to use machine vision technology to replace inefficient manual labor. "Photoelectric sensor image" and "image processing".The core technology laid the foundation for the development of machine vision. During the development of "Photoelectric Image Sensor" technology, the appearance of CCD image sensor is the most motivated factors. It becomes possible to let the equipment be small, cheap and low power with CCD image sensor. And the road for using "image processing" technology in wider application is paved. Which also owe to the development of various image processing algorithm. More important, the hardware technology is developed for image processing, And CPU, DSP, large-scale programmable logic device which are widely used for image processing represents a leap in the image processing speed, price, and power .The cycle of designing a system based on DSP chip is shorter, also this system make it possible to create and test prototype to the rapid application of new algorithms; easy to update new standards or agreements of software.This thesis designs a visual system based on DSP, for the requirement of automatic visual fabric-defect detecting and the visual fabric-printing motor servo in the textile industry. This system uses high-precision line-scan digital camera (2048 pixels per line) as image-grabbing equipment, and general DSP, which is programmable, of great stability and highly integrated with many extended I/O interfaces.The system with the core processor DSP can satisfy the requirement of high pixel resolution and high image-processing speed for industrial applications,as well as it is convenient to be used for different industrial applications.
