Research And Design Of A Meta-Search Engine Based On Intelligent Agent

With the rapid development of Internet, people's way of work and life has changed a lot.With rapid rising of web information in Internet, how to search information we need in the huge web resource space become an important issue. The classic web search engine Represented by Baidu and Google try to help people find information in Internet. Users can log on to their website through web browser and use the search service then. To a certain extent, these search service can meet the needs of users. However a centain search engine has limit indexed webpage in its database and besides searching itself is a personalized activity. Different users need different type of web information even if they use the same key words searching in Internet. It is obvious that the existing search engine can not be able to realize the customized requirements in some cases. To make up for the search engine's lack of ability in these areas and let search engine provide search results which users are interested in, this paper proposed a new meta-search engine based on intelligent agent model, in this system,the meta-search engine can deal with users'search request through intelligent agent according to their habits and preferences. This kind of sensible decision may supply a set of search results meet the expectations of users.A meta-search engine based on intelligent agent is designed to provide users with personalized search service,in this system,there is a definition of user interest model through which system can record and remember the search habits and history of different visitors.The main research work of this paper includes:(1) Analysed and researched on the key technology for the meta-search engine, then proposed several smart strategy in the process of working for meta-search engine.such as weight evaluation,positive search,user feedback.(2) In this article,the meta-search engine apply a intelligent agent to analyze and respond to user search behavior,so it is possible to realize the intelligent and personalized search service.(3) On the basis of meta-search engine,focus on the function of intelligent agent,try to design a new framework of meta-search engine.At last,in the fourth chapter of article,we design and implement an experiment system of meta-search engine based on intelligent agent,then evaluate the performance of the system through the actual test.
