The Piping diameter system is an apparatus for the pipes distortion inspection, the pipe distortion not only causes the reduction of the transport competence, but also affects the safety parameters of the pipes, and have the latency crisis of the piping safety run ,so, it is necessary to inspect the pipelines that have used in a period of time. This thesis takes the development of the new methods for the piping diameter system as background. Combining the eddy current non destructive testing theory with the practice of inspection for the piping diameter system, the theoretical and technological problems about it are deeply studied.The history and current status of domestic and overseas study about the piping diameter system are reviewed. The principles and characteristics of these technologies are summarized. Based on that, eddy current measure distance principle has been proposed. Aiming at it, the scientific eddy current technological and key technological problems to be solved are extracted.The whole instrument is made up of the eddy current sensor and measure circuit. The eddy current sensor is detailed designed, the principle distance measurement of the eddy current sensor and the parameter of the coil influences on the performance of the sensor is demonstrated in this paper. The relationship of electromagnetism coupling between sensor and mental pipes are expatiation, the design of the sensor's structure, shape, size are designed with the help of Matlab. In addition, the sensor's mould has been designed, the sensor's designed structure, fixing and facture techniques advert proceeding and the farther optimized method are proposed. On the part of the measurement current, the method of change the collection simulation signal to electricity signal is proposed, and design the measurement circuit. On the problem of the received signal is not linear, the method and the measurement circuit for enlarging the linearity range is designed.The whole system was debugged in Lab, and measurement data were gotten and analyzed. The experiment proved the design is feasible and reasonable. This system can real-time the detection to the piping distortion.
