Force feedback technology plays an important role in enhancing the immersion of virtual environment, guiding user's operations, predicting virtual objects's conduction and raising the reality of interaction. For a long time force feedback is limited to rigid objects, force rendering of deformable object has more been concerned because of its practicability and realistic meanings.In order to achieve real-time and realistic goal our research presents based on improved suface-mesh simplified mass-spring model. Surface-mesh model is convenient to acquire virtual object's data. Normal constrainting spring is introduced to avoid the disappering of object's body action. Mesh simplification is realized by collapsing edges. Approximate nonlinear adjustment and multi-resolution method are presented to simulate large deformation realistically. We conclude three physics attribution of deformable object. Simulation of deformation is realized by Matlab, further more we realized single-mass normal deformation under virtual hand platform developed with VC++, OpenGl tools and both achieve very good effect.In analyzing deformable object's force feedback, collision detection strategy involving rigid object and deformable object is explained. Experiment proves adopt different methods to linear and nonlinear situation. Four situations of force feedback are studied. In the situation of skewed deformation evaluation of static friction and dynamic firction is discussed. We simulatie curve of rendering force and deformation displacement, curve of evaluation efficiency and curve of feedback force stability. Experiment results show that time of feedback force evaluation is constrainted to 1ms -2ms over 500Hz real-time refreshment can be guaranteed and rendering is continuous, smooth, nonstop flu.Force rendering technology of deformable object is widely used, such as in industrial product design, ergonomics tests can shorten production cycles, reduce costs; in the medicine field, simution of surgy can help medical staff acquire experience and reduce the risk of surgy; in the game making field, rendering deformation effect can enhance the immersion of game environment.
