In the new century, the communication network was developing to New Generation Network(NGN).As the technology of Dense Wavelength-Division Multiplexing (DWDM) ,it is more important of power equalization of signal transport in fiber optic network.. The unevenness of Amplified Spontaneous Emission(ASE)of Erbium-doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) and its cumulation made gain unbalance more worse. This will limit the long-distance transport of DWDM. Today's power equalization is from the concept of Dynamic Gain Equalization(DGE) of EDFA. There are still some disadvantages: complex technology,high cost,slow response(implemented by acousto-optic,heat-optic,liquid), can't be applied in hypervelocity system, reliability repeatability bad.This thesis gives the new solution of Dynamic power equalization system and completes the signal-processing part and the A/D module of power spectrum monitoring part. The system make up of power spectrum the monitoring part,the microprocessor control circuit and software,the photovoltaic tunable filter base on Periodically Poled Lithium Niobate (PPLN) diffraction grating. The signal processing part use LPC2210 and the A/D module used C8051F206 are finished. The microprocessor used for processing the signal from power spectrum monitoring part, first calculates the target function of complement of power equalization, and then Optimizes the control parameter by Levenberg-Marquardt arithmetic. The power equalization has many advantages : good spectrum response,low residual power fluctuation,wide dynamic range,low power dissipation. The experiment shows that the system is feasible and can reach the design goals. |
