Network control system (NCS) involves two main engineering fields such as communication engineering (either wired or wireless) and control engineering. Investigation on networked control meets the requirement of complicated large-scale system and long-distance control system. Recently, network control system is becoming a hot research issue, and many traditional control theoretic methods were extended into network control systems. There are still open topics in NCS although some interesting results were reported. In this thesis, some significant topics on NCS are investigated and new results are developed. The main contribution of the thesis is summarized as follows:1) From the viewpoint of practical control for NCS, we address new analysis and modeling for NCS with both delays in sensors and actuators.2) For NCS with random delays, Markov Jump Theory is used to model. Furthermore, by using Lyapunov Fuction to analyze it, the condition of robust stochastic stability (SS) is proposed.3) The dynamic output feedback controller and full-order observer are designed for NCS. The desired control and observation behaviors are obtained.4) In the paper, all the conditions are based on LMIs, which make the computation conveniently. Particularly, an iterative LMI algorithm is given for solving a no-strictly LMI. Finally, some examples are given to illustrate the design procedures and simulation results have shown the desired control and observation performance.
