In recent years, medical image analytic technology developed rapidly in the field of medical technology. Computer technology and medical image analysis are combined tightly, and start a new generation of digital medicine. As the development of medical image technology, the clinical doctors' observation of the pathological site changed in human body are becoming more direct and clearing. Consequently, the efficiency of diagnosis has been improved greatly.At present, there are many methods of medical image segmentation. Because of complexity and diversity of medical images, it is difficult to comminute the medical images, and it needs to choose appropriate methods of segmentation according to actual state. So this paper applies specialty of Multiple-Slice Spiral Computed Tomography (MSCT), and introduces appropriate segmentation arithmetic of liver medical image. It can effectively improve veracity of locating focus from liver medical images and accuracy of calculating medical parameters.This paper obtains many original medical images by utilizing MSCT, and decoding medical images of DICOM format files, as well as taking image datasets. Then liver images are processed by some of the threshold value segmentation methods. It chooses optimal threshold value, and obtains the results by some different segmentation experimentation. The focus is separated from normal tissues of liver images and can be extracted from the images. It has important significance to help the doctor calculate necessary medical parameters which are useful for exact diagnose.
