Corresponding to the traditional face-to-face interpersonal communication,Computer-Mediated Interpersonal Communication (CMIC) refers to the information dissemination based on computer networks of individuals and between individuals. As an extension of traditional Interpersonal Communication in the new media , CMIC is matched with the characteristics of both the new media and traditional FTF Communication. Meanwhile ,there are m ore and more demand for CMIC of humen beings in information society. Among all the Internet users, young people especially for the college students, constitute a distinctively characteristical and important groups. Network with features of equality, openness and interactiveness has greatly inspired the try-to-psychological and exchanges-need of the contemporary college students.The SNS emerged in 2005 in China with the characteristics of the social services site has become the main mode of social interaction of college students , and had rapid development among China's university students. This study attempts to give a description to the motives and behavior of college students through empirical qualitative research on CMIC under SNS of college students .This thesis ia an anaysis under the view of Communication.Through the anaysis on the results of the investigation, this thesis is in attamption to describe the CMIC characteristics of college students on SNS,and the influence of SNS to the behavior of interpersonal communication.
