Agricultural informationization is an important part of national economy and social informationization, is an important approach to combine agriculture with market economy, is a powerful means to enhance total factor productivity of agriculture, and is an effective solution for government to manage agriculture. It also has a great significance in driving agricultural modernization, promoting national economy, hastening growth of national economy and realizing coordinated and sustained development of the society. In the process of boosting informationization, with popularizing of computer network, there is a historic change in routine administration work of Department of Agriculture is covering guiding, regulating, controlling, supervising and serving, etc. Information on new products, new technologies, supply and demand, price, predict and quality detection of agricultural products is hotly requested.This paper has taken this as a background. It analyzed status quo and demand of agricultural informationization of Jianyin area, researched aspects on how to achieve regional informationization of agriculture and how to utilize existing informationized resource. It also suggest to construct Web-based information system , consisted of portal system, monitoring system for price of vegetable,monitoring system for pesticide residues in vegetables detection , by applying advanced Web development platform and database technology, finally, to achieve regional agricultural informationization. It stated how to build of 3 sub-system based on analysis of demand and how to build relational database of each sub-system on the basis of detailedly analyzing data of each sub-system. It also stated the existing difficulties and key points in developing the sub-system aimed at functions and features of each sub-system.This study has solved the problem on agricultural informatization at Jiangyin area under available condition. At the same time, it has speeded the construction of local information database on agriculture, has improved service capability of local agricultural administration unit. In addition, it has certain practical significance in reinforcing informatization of agricultural grass-roots unit.
