In order to manage the mobile devices more conveniently, effectively and efficiently, China Unicom wants an increase in the capability of managing mobile devices remotely. To meet the requirement of china Unicom, this dissertation do some research and design on the mobile device remote control platform.DM technology provides a low-cost means to maintain or manage the device software and data. OMA DM standard is established by OMA to manage devices. DM technology can be used to do data retrieving, firmware update, parameter configuration or remote locking on mobile device by OTA.Firstly, this dissertation introduces a theoretical study on DM technology. We analyze protocol group of DM engine, DM applications and the relationship between them, and define the MOs in accordance with China Unicom's value-added applications. Secondly, we design the DM platform on the structure model level. We analyze the structure model of DM platform which has complex business logic, more interface operation procedure, frequent data exchange, and we propose the J2EE framework structure based on MVC model which separates the business logic level from the system, reduces the coupling between the businesses, increases the reusability of the code, improves the efficiency of the development team and enhances the extensible of the project. Thirdly, there are four basic applications on the DM platform: firmware update, data retrieving, parameter configuration and remote locking, and we analyze the function and design the process of them. Further more, we do technology implementation and data process design on firmware update and parameter configuration. Finally, based on the framework of BO+VO+DAO+IAO, we design and implement user portal of DM platform.
