In this dissertation, the variable structure control problems of singular bilinear systems are considered. Based on generalized Lyapunov theory and LMI, the model reference variable structure control, output variable structure control for singular bilinear systems, and variable structure control of singular bilinear systems with time delay are presented by citing sliding mode compensator. The main results of this dissertation as follows:1. The model reference variable structure control of singular bilinear system is considered by generalized Lyapunov method. The switching surface is chosed by introducing a sliding mode compensator, and the asymptotical stability of the closed-loop system is guaranteed. The effective of the method is illustrated by a numerical example.2. The output variable structure control of singular bilinear system is studied by generalized Lyapunov method. To design the switching surface, the output of the system and sliding mode conpensator are introduced. The variable structure control law is designed such that the trajectory of the system can reach the switching surface in finite time, and the asymptotical stability is guaranteed at the same time.3. In order to deal with the stabilization problems of singular bilinear systems with time delay. To study the variable structure control of singular bilinear systems with time delay, the method of generalized Lyapunov method combined with LMI method is presented. The sliding surface is chosen by employing sliding mode compensator, moreover the variable structure controller is designed, and the asymptotical stability of the closed-loop system is guaranteed.
