Research And Application On Education Document Resource Organization Model Base On Topic Map

Educational information occupies an influential role in the development of the contemporary education, but it depends largely on the abundant resources of education information. The Electronic education document which is a kind of education information provides much convenience for people's scientific research. While simultaneously the increasing of electronic documents on Internet also results in difficulties of the application and management of these resources. If we cannot organize these resources effectively, we will fall into a difficult dilemma of Info explosion and knowledge deficiency. So, the effective organization on resources of educational documents has been an important research topic.It is difficult to provide knowledge service with interrelation for users for the resource organization managing mechanism headed by the three essentials of resource, index and metadata directory. The topic map is a new technology of knowledge organization; it is an expanding development of the traditional technology of index in the web environment. The knowledge resource organization based on the technology of topic map can provide knowledge navigation in accordance with human's cognition feature for the user. This paper tries to focus on this problem just to organize the resources of some professional documents by using the technology of topic map in the organization of the educational resources, to organize the documents resource in the fields of specialized subject, and provides a EDROM model according to the hierarchy correlation structure of the topic map.The following are the main contents:First of all, this thesis summarizes the correlative theories and technologies of topic map, and then analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of traditional organization method of document resources, as well as the present research situation of the organization and management of educational resources. The advantage of leading the topic map into the document resources organization and the feasible program is discussed.Secondly, based on the introduction of the correlative theories and technologies of topic map and combined with the analysis of the other organization methods of document resources, an education document resources organization model named EDROM is proposed. The EDROM based on the topic map is an extension of the three essentials of the traditional topic map, and forms a new organizational structure with six essentials consisting of topic, association, occurrence, knowledge element, the relationship based on knowledge element, the relationship between topic and knowledge element, which can be used to express the logical relationships of teaching resources.Secondly, the author put forward an education document resources organization model named EDROM by leading the basic thought into the organization of educational resource, in the basis of the introduction of the correlative theories and technologies of topic map and combining with the analysis of the other organization methods of document resources. The EDROM model expands the three essentials of the traditional topic map, and forms a new organizational structure with six essentials consisting of topic, association, occurrence, knowledge element, the relevance between knowledge element, the relationship between topic and knowledge element, which can express the logical connections of teaching resources effectively.Thirdly, the author studied the key technology on education document resources organization based on topic map. The thesis forms an organization framework of it and proposes the method of text feature extraction by using the computation model of vector space. Based on the extended equation for calculating the conformity degree in the Boolean model, document clustering technology is also studied .Finally the thesis puts forward topic map of the professional field and pays special attention to the generation technique of topic map.Fourthly, this thesis studies and develops the prototype based on the model of EDROM, and performs the retrieval of documents. In connection with the characteristics of modeling EDROM, the intensive research such as document retrieval, resource recommendation, topic guidance and so on based on the EDROM are also studied. The experiments demonstrated that the prototype system has realized the expected research aim very well.
