Multiple-Input-and-Multiple-Output is regarded as efficient technology in high data rate communications, which is used to improve the frequency efficiency to offer larger system capacity. Space-Time-Coding, which combines channel coding with modulation together effectively in both space and time domain, is an important technology in an MIMO system. Traditional coding scheme can be seprated into Space-Time-Block Coding (STBC) and Space-Time-Trellis Coding (STTC). Recently, a newly coding scenario called Super Orthogonal Space-Ttime- Coding(SOSTTC) is proposed to combine STBC and STTC together efficiently, which can offer more diversity gain and coding gain with high date rate and low bit error ratio.Most of the exsiting research based on STBC and STTC is only related to spatial diversity systems. However, plorization diversity is another important shceme for MIMO communications.In this thesis, a SOSTTC shceme is proposed for a joint space-polarization system.The primary works are as follows.(1) A three-dimension space-time-polarization channel model is proposed based on the traditioanal 2-dimensions channel model, which could take full advantage of both the polarization and space diversity.(2)A three-dimension space-time-polarization coding scheme is proposed based on the combination of SOSTTC and the polarization diversity, which can offer more coding gain without loss of coding rate compared with the equal multiple antenna system. Investigation has been carried out during this theis as well as simulation based on Matlab is implemented to vertify our scheme.(3)A new advanced coding scheme called super orthogonal space-time-Turbo trellis coding is proposed base on our three-dimension channel model, which can bring in more interleaver gain besides higher coding gain. Futher more, the decode algorithm based on recursive space-time strutre is applied in our coding shceme and deep reaserch has been carried on in their performance analysis.
