Fiber Bragg Grating is a kind of fiber optic device which is expected to be of great prospect of application in fiber communication. The fiber grating enters the commercialization and integration along with the ripening technology for fabricating fiber gratings. The researches of the application of fiber grating sensors have obtained more and more attentions. As a sensor, FBG can be immune from light source disturbance and system loss by transforming sensing information into its reflecting wavelength shift. Besides, BG is very reliable and also immune from electromagnetic signals and corruption. Many FBG can be put together on a single fiber to construct a FBG network to build a distributed sensing system. Such a system has shown the unexampled merit of FBG. The key technology of FBG sensing lies in how to measure the minute shift of Bragg reflecting wavelength precisely. And this is called demodulating of the coded wavelength signals. Though, the OSA can be used to do the measurement, it can not be applied to practical industry situation because of its huge-size and high-cost. Therefore, developing high-resolution and low-cost FBG demodulator is the key issue when it comes to FBG sensors industrializations. Although a large number of researchers in domestic research units have been doing a lot of research and investigations on the demodulation of FBG sensing, most of the researches are still in the step of lab experiments and have not yet met the requirements of mass practical industrial productions. Thus, the studies on theory and application of fiber gratings become very important.The main content of this paper is following:(1) Desiegn a kind of Fiber Fabry-Perot Tunable Filter's demodulating system, demodulation of system work well during the experiment;(2) Found the linear relational expression between wavelength going through filter and FBG tunable voltage by experiments :λ= 1483.1 + 3.1U;(3) Designed and made a preamplifier by using the integrate circuit of OP27 and amplified the weak electric signal effectively, I fixed on the way of gaining the optimal scanning magnitude of voltage and reach optimal scan;( 4 ) Designed and made experimental installation of strain by using overhanging beam. Then the Fiber Fabry-Perot Tunable Filter's demodulating system applied to this experimental installation of strain , and I gain significative experimental results, The experimental results indicated that this design scheme on fiber Fabry-Perot tunable filter demodulating system was feasible and had practicable value.
