In Web application development, with the increasingly complicated and variable demands of the customers and the continuous lifting of the requirements improving the user experiences, the workload of the software developers becomes increasingly onerous. Under this background, this thesis discusses a rapid Web Application development solution with the Rails framework.The research target of the thesis is to use the framework of Rails to construct a solution of the fast development which can structure manifold clients of RIA built on the on the same platform, and apply the framework of Rails, the network structure of REST, the technologies of Ajax and Flex to the Duoluokou Market Management System. The thesis to find an architecture that supports the iterative and rapid development, the convenient deployment and maintenance, and the good user experiences.It not only retains the unchanged architecture of the bottom layer (server-side), but also can freely choose a structure mode or a development mode for the program in the expression forms.The main work of the thesis is as follows:1. The thesis expounds and studies the relevant technologies of the system, and explains the definition, the concept and the feature of RIA. Then it emphatically describes the Flex technology and the framework of Rails used in the system development, and studies the Web style of the MVC design pattern and the network architecture of REST.2. The architecture mode of the Duoluokou Market Management System and the whole design are given.3. The development of the MVC pattern under the network architecture of REST, and explores the network architecture of REST based on the MVC pattern.4. The thesis describes and explains the design and implementation of the system in detail, involving the database design, the structure of the system resource, and the implementation of the model class and the output of the many clients and so on.5. The thesis designs and implements the framework interfaces of Flex and Rails, and gives the key codes. And the thesis introduces the realization of the three clients on HTML, Ajax and Flex, and compares their differences and gives the corresponding application range for each technology.
