With the development of modern information technology, the library management has made a rapid progress in automatic, networked and digitized aspects. But the collection literature, especially the traditional paper literature, is still the foundation resources and the most important content of the services in the library. At present most of the library management is still using the traditional bar code identification as its management. However this way is not only Time-consuming but also inefficient during the management process. Moreover, it is unable to realize the self-help management of borrowing and returning books, which way is a high intellectualized manage way and can help raise the level of management. In this way the library management system's development is restricted. The basic way to solve this question is to explore positively technological means of realizing the library management much more intelligent with library management's development in automatic, networked and digitized aspects gradually. In view of radio frequency identification technology supporting multi-target and far-distance identification, Appling radio frequency identification technology in library management is the ideal means and new technology research. The paper has first analyzed the background and significance of library management system based on the RFID technology, introduced the details of RFID technology and promulgated the RFID technology superiority on the basis of comparison between the RFID technology and the traditional bar code technology, proposed the application of radio frequency technology in the library management system's design. Then the author analyzed the problems when adopting radio frequency identification technology into the library such as how to do with the distance of the RFID, the multi-tags identification communication bus choice and so on. According to the questions, concrete study and design concept were given in the paper relevant portion. In correspondence bus aspect selected CAN bus with strong resistance to interference to enhance of stability of library system. Considering the influence of emissive power to human body in identification, therefore choose low power read & write chip, and by adding power amplification electric circuit to enhance RF reader's identified distance. On the other hand aiming at the books quantity which the library needed to process to, the author has carried on the thorough analysis and the comparison against different collision algorithm, designed decreasing progressively type dynamic slotted ALOHA to solve the multi-tags' collision problem which has quick identification speed and is easy to realize. The simulation indicated this algorithm may keep its efficiency while simultaneously distinguishing 128 tags and can satisfy the request of library management.
