With the rapid development of road construction and transportation, better pavement performance is required and pavement grade should be assessed strictly. It is concerned on measuring road roughness in a rapid and accurate way all over the world. Calibration of road detecting system is a part of the subject"research on multi-functional road detecting technology and system. This system uses the structured light vision system to detect road. This dissertation focuses on calibration of the structured light vision system.Based on analyzing the principle of structured light vision system, this dissertation builds the mathematics model of the structured light vision system. And research on the image antihum and extracting calibration point. Then, calibration of the structured light vision system is divided into two parts, structured light plane calibration and camera calibration. Based on the analysis of several single-camera calibration methods, put forward a new camera calibration method—the combine method of linear method and network method.Compare the calibration result with the methods mentioned in the experiment. The experiment verifies that the precision of the combine method is highest. Road detecting system uses two CCD cameras. Several methods about multi-camera calibration were introduced. And improve one of them to calibrate the structured light vision system. This method can calibrate the structured light system on-line. So ensure the coherence of calibration state and measuring state.
