Safety production and ensuring security of miners are eternal themes in the mining industry. The present mine safety monitoring systems are still pre-disaster warning systems, whose main targets are to monitor parameters on the environment and producing process. However, these existing systems cannot get positions of miners, which is one of the reasons for the frequent mine disasters and the low rescuing efficiency. It is therefore important to develop a new type miners location identification system for the security of miners and achieving rapid rescue. It is of great practical significance to develop a new miners location identification system, and this is the main purpose of the thesis.Firstly, the thesis introduces the research status of this field at home and abroad. Then, the two key technologies in the miners location identification system-Radio Frequency Identification Technology and Fieldbus Technology are discussed. Based on the two technologies, the thesis introduces a miners location identification system design scheme.In the whole location identification system, the underground part is the main body. The RFID system and CAN-485 network are designed and completed through two aspects-hardware and software.In the hardware design procedure, after reviewed many technical materials and had a market survey, the hardware selection of the system is determined. The core unit of the RFID system-wireless RF transceiver terminal is designed by nRF2401 chip and MSP430 MCU series. The CAN-485 gateway is designed by AVR MCU series. Some improving methods for the system anti-jamming are presented after experiments.In the software design part, the anti-collision algorithm is the principle problem for the RFID system. Based on the study of the ALOHA algorithm and the binary search algorithm, a new anti-collision algorithm-collision search algorithm, is proposed. The proposed collision search algorithm can sufficiently apply the information of collision bits so as to improve the anti-collision efficiency. The design idea, method of the new algorithm and the related theoretical proof are described afterwards. Experiment results show that the new algorithm can significantly reduce the data stream transmitted, which improves identification efficiency. The software design of the CAN-485 complex network is on the basis of the research of CAN technology and communication protocols.In the last section, conclusions are introduced. Also, disadvantages of the system and future work are summarized.Our miners location identification system based on RFID and CAN-485 is strongly functional and highly reliable. It is able to increase the level of safety production and emergency handling, to meet the requirements of the modern mining production. It will play an important part in safety production, will possess a good market prospects and will be worth to promote for its excellent performance.
