The industry of Hydropower Equipment Manufacturing is an important branch of Machinery Industry in China. Cause of the steel structures of Hydropower Equipment, there will be a great increase of Steel Consumption in Hydropower Equipment Manufacturing Corporations with the development of the industry of Hydropower Equipment Manufacturing. The steel sheet utility efficiency is a key aspect for the economical benefit of Hydropower Equipment Manufacturing Corporations in that the ratio of steel sheet consumption to the whole Steel Consumption of Hydropower Equipment Manufacturing is the largest. In recent years, with the rapid development of the industry of Hydropower Equipment Manufacturing, Competition in Hydropower Equipment Manufacturing industry has appeared very sharp. The Hydropower Equipment Manufacturing Corporations have to face this situation to get hold of chance and accept challenge. However the problems in the production link of Cutting Stock affects the development of Hydropower Equipment Manufacturing Corporations. Combined with the practical situations in TianFa Heavy Hydropower Manufacturing Corporation, researching toward Cutting Stock Problem of Water Turbo Generator has been done in this paper.On the base of analyzing the research contents, methods and directions of Cutting Stock problems at home and abroad and deep investigations in TianFa Heavy Hydropower Manufacturing Corporation, this paper proposes to provide certain system project of Cutting Stock Problem for Water Turbo Generator. A case based mechanism has been applied in the system after the analysis of features of Cutting Stock Problem in the production of Water Turbo Generator. Functional Module of the system has been established considering both requirements of technology and management after investigations of production management of Cutting Stock in TianFa Heavy Hydropower Manufacturing Corporation. Eventually the development work of the system has been done to realize the function of production management and Cutting Stock optimazition.
