Since E-Business grows rapidly, more and more companies adopt SOA to build their information system. As an open cross-platform interoperable technology, Web Service has become the standard of SOA. Web Service discovery mechanism allows dynamic system integration and dynamic Web Service composition. As one of the core technologies of Web Service framework, UDDI is the standard of Web Service discovery. It acts as a bridge between service consumers and service providers. A service consumer can search Web Services on UDDI by functional requirements. But at present UDDI is not mature. It has two main problems: it does not provide non-functional search and lacks registration monitoring. With an increasing number of Web Services providing similar functionalities, more emphasis is being placed on how to find the service that best fits the consumer's requirements. However, the current UDDI registries do not provide a method for service providers to publish the QoS information of their services. Because of the lack of registration monitoring, public UDDI is deluged with invalid ragistrations. Most companies give up public UDDI and adopt private UDDI.This paper researches Web Service technology and UDDI model. To resolve the problems above, we extend the UDDI model with QoS support and dynamic-leasing mechanism. The extended model is named UDDI_QL. The main research work we do is as follows: First, we propose a two- dimensional QoS model of Web Service and defind the data types. Second, we introduce dynamic-leasing mechanism into UDDI model. At last, we realize a prototype of UDDI_QL and examples are given.
