The Design And Research Of Service Supporting ETS Based On TTCN-3

TTCN-3 is the product of European telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), which is designed specifically for test. It is easy to use, and has become a kind of international standards. It can be applied to a variety of test, and it is extremely flexible, more powerful, so it has been widely used, and no longer confined to conformance test. It is successfully used in the test of new challenging technologies, e.g., IPv6, WiMax, 3GPP, etc.TTCN-3 test platform is very different from the one that used to do conformance test. TTCN-3 implementation of the corresponding test platform is a vacancy in China. The work of the paper is the important part of the test platform implementation.TTCN-3 test system has several entities, including TTCN-3 run-time system (T3RTS), which provides the support of the test services. First, the role of T3RTS in the test system is a medium to realize the communication between the ETS and other entities in the test system. Second, T3RTS realizes the semantics of TTCN-3.such as the test component, the timer, the port queue, the snapshot, and so on.The ultimate TTCN-3 test system is to achieve the communication both message-based and procedure-based among parallel test components, either for centralized test or distributed test. However, achieving such a goal is a long process, so the whole test system is perfected and implemented by stages.This paper presents a design of T3RTS inner interface meeting centralized test based on distributed architecture, and details the design of this module and its design ideas. It is designed by object-oriented software development method after making a full analysis of the ETS standards. The paper also presents the diagrams to illustrate the relations of the classes and validate the logic of the test execution.
