The Designing And Application Of .NET-Based Freshmen Registration System

The thesis starts from the background of the project, and then proceeds on the technical draft of the system. Based on analysis of the demands of freshmen registration, the thesis discusses about the designing and application of the freshmen registration system.The latest and most advanced platform ASP.NET has been used in the analysis of the thesis, combining with the widely-used SQL Server 2000 Database. The system adopts three-layer model integrating C/S and B/S, and it takes Petshop4.0 of Microsoft as reference for its frame structure.The whole system consists of five subsystems, including notebook registration, tuition collection, registration recording, information searching, and system management. Notebook registration subsystem is used to record information of students who have bought notebooks by themselves; tuition collection subsystem plays a very important role in the system, which provides fiscal department detailed information on payment of freshmen's tuition fees; registration recording is the core of the whole system, which has realized automatic assigning of classes and academic numbers; information searching subsystem enables the search of various registration data and output of relevant forms; and system management is designed for users' management and input of original data.The system has adopted strip code technology. A unique strip code is attached on each freshman's admition notice, and scanning of it will accomplish recording of the student's data. Field trial of the system proved that it functioned well and fast under multi-users' condition. The system has applied successfully in the freshmen registration of Nanhai Neusoft Information Technology Institute.
