The Design And Application Of An Anti-Money-Laundering System Based On ETL

Since the middle of 20th century, money-laundering has been more and more rampant, which brings much losing and impacts to all of the world. It's an important and urgent mission for our country finance work to improve the law, establish anti-money-laundering mechanism and strike against the money-laundering crime through the information technology means. However, it's very difficulty and low efficiency to find the money-laundering action in the anti-money-laundering system, which analyses and disposes the data in the complex, abundant and isomerous business data. Now we need to use the ETL technic to extract, transfer, clean, and load the business data to the data market of anti-money-laundering system, in order to provide the clean, integrity, and accurate data, improve the system's performance, and find the money-laundering action as soon as possible.As mentioned above, this paper discussed the ETL (data extract, data transform, data load) technic concept and ETL manners, analysed the ETL's essentiality in the anti-money-laundering, and completed the ETL's design and application including the data model and metadata management by the M bank's anti-money-laundering demand and business enviorment. Through the system's ETL task attemper, we achieved the data extract, data transform and data load from business data to the data market in the anti-money-laundering. Now the anti-money-laundering system was applied in the M bank, which helped the personnels to filter and collect the business data efficiently and accurately, and improved the efficiency and quality of the anti-money-laundering system.
