In recent years,Telecommunication in China are developing at a high speed, and integrated ability of communication have been enhanced remarkably, Communication network has been entering a special period of transition toward 3G time.As 3G market beginning to run step by step, how to make 3G cooperate appropriately with the second generation of mobile communication in present and fixed network become the linchpin of the great transition,As a result, the portability of mobile number natually turn into the crucial condition 3G neededMobile number portability(call MNP for short)is a associated service that operators for telecom guarantee to their users,it means that when telecom users change their service network, they can keep the phone number unchanged with little influence in quality of service.MNP is in possession of tremendous benefit relating society and economy. The main idea of this article is how to bring in MNP system in present GSM network and the overall layout and detailed design. The initial part of the article introduce MNP in a mass, referring to some background knowledge concerning GSM,then the article objectively use the specification for MNP which is made by standard of 3GPP as a base, aim at various technical resolution of MNP,compare the main mode of technology in international range, and then finally determine to adapt the resolution of signal-relay based on MAP. In succession, the article make a deep research in the systemic layout and detailed implementation of MNP system, constitude a detailed design in process through the research of the design of component module. In practical testing work,it cross over many barriers ingeniously, making MNP system enhanced and go to mature.
