Intelligent network (IN) is an overlay network over telecommunication networks, which enables new services to be provided rapidly and efficiently. Service control point (SCP) is the core network entity in IN, which provides executing environment for various Service Logic Programs (SLPs), and stores service data and SLPs. It can select and execute different SLPs according to different IN services, and control other nodes including Service Switching Point (SSP) to perform the function of service control. The CMIN02 system is one of the mobile intelligent network systems meeting ETSI CAMEL standards and CMCC CAMEL specifications. Currently, it has been applied commercially on a large scale.The architecture of IN is developing, and the intelligent services are updating, and the amount of user is increasing. So as the core network entity, the SCP must be progressing. It requires that the SCP must have more functions and more powerful capabilities to process intelligent services. An integrated optimization scheme which improves SCP's performance is designed and implemented aiming to the defects of service process in CMIN02-SCP in this thesis.The concepts and architecture of global system for mobile communications (GSM) as well as the CMIN02 system are introduced in the first chapter of the thsis.Three defects of current mechanism of service process are pointed out based on the software architecture and the process flow of service logic in CMIN02-SCP in the second chapter. The first defect is there are lots of redundancy inner messages, the second one is the key performance parameters are fixed, and the last one is the problems of using multi-process.The third chapter is focused on how to reduce the redundancy inner driving messages. Based upon the comparation between the two methods presented at the beginning, a better method called service segmentation poll is prompted, followed by the design and implement of this method. At last, a contrastive test between the new method and the current used one is made and analyzed.The forth chapter is focused on performance parameters. A system intercommunication model of CMIN02-SCP is built and analyzed to find out the key parameters. And then a dynamic method to configure the value of the key parameters according to the system load is presented. The key points in the implementation of the method are indicated, and a simple test is carried on.The fifth chapter is focused on multi-thread. The advantage of using multi-thread is discussed, and a parallel pattern together with its static structure is given. Then the key points in the implementation are described in detail. At last a simple test is executed.The thesis is summarized and the SCP's optimization in the future work is prospected in the last part.
