The Wireless Sensor Network is combined of 4 technology: sensor, embedded algorithm, network and wireless commnuication. It is a novel technology of acquiring and processing inforamtion, and a novel wireless networks of infrastructureless network which could be used for testing, sensoring, colletcing and processing all kinds of information of environment and monitored objects. It is also a novel application networks which having a very broad future of application. Wireless Sensor Network is a multi-hop, self-organized network which is formed by lots of cheap sensor nodes deploying in the detective districts. In the Wireless Sensor Network, the MAC protocol controls the way of Channel Access, distributes the limited resources between the wireless sensors, builds a wireless sensor network based on the bottom, and has a tremendous impact on the performance of wireless sensor networks. Therefore, the research on the MAC protocol is quite common, and has very important significance.First of all, the structure, protocol stack, application and development are analysed in this paper. Then this paper states the related background of Traffic Scheduling in Congestion mechanism and several existing Wireless Sensor Network MAC protocols. At last, on the base of S-MAC protocol, the paper designs and realizes the MAC protocol that suits for Burst Flow network application. The proposed of S-MAC protocol is in order to meet the demand of the energy-saving and self-organizing in Wireless Sensor Network. S-MAC achieves the objective of reducing energy consumption by using periodic sleep to reduce the duty cycle. However, because of S-MAC's fixed duty cycle design, the communications delay has been greatly increased. This paper is designed from the protocol with the T-MAC thinking of the duty cycle dynamic mechanism, which is able to adapt to the network traffic suddenly tremendous changes and improves the competitiveness retreat mechanism by adjusting the window that according to traffic conditions. So the protocols can better adapt to the complicated network conditions. The paper simulates this protocol, S-MAC on the platform of NS2, and compares delay, throughput which are the results of this simulation. The results indicate that, compared with S-MAC, this protocol is better on improving capability. Finally, the process is concluded, as well as to the future needs further improvement, and the future work.
