Virtual reality is a new rapid-developed technology. The emergence of virtual reality hada profound impact in education, which changed the conventional teaching ideas andeducational models, and constituted the denial and deconstruction of the certain traditionalteaching fashions. The technology of virtual reality presented the infinite possibility of theeducational technique, broke through the parochialism of the traditional teaching model,developed the space of the existing teaching method, which has established the rationality,transcendence and innovation of the non-feasibility, and provided the new space.The technology of virtual reality could provide many kinds of information, such as thesense of vision, the sense of hearing and the sense of touch. The participants could interactwith the virtual environment in a natural way, and could personally participate in the changingprocess of the event in the virtual environment, which has obtained the degree of freedom ofthe control and operation of the entire event. This kind of multi-dimension interactiveinformation environment would provide the new ways for the participants to master newknowledge and skills.The theory and practice of the virtual reality in teaching methods have been summarized.The applications of the relevant foreign and domestic teaching environment have beenanalyzed. The concept, characteristic and key technology of the virtual reality have beenintroduced.The necessity and feasibility of the virtual reality in teaching method have been analyzed.On the basis of the relevant theory, the application methods and organizational strategy of thevirtual realityin teaching model have been established.Based on the investigation and study, the application forms of the virtual realityin schooleducation have been summarized, and then the exiting question and correspondingcountermeasure of the virtual reality in education have been discussed. The research in thispaper indicated that the virtual reality environment under the modern teaching theory couldenable the learners on their own initiative to enjoyably study and to enhance the teachingefficiency.
