With the rapid growth of the computer and Internet technologies along with their wide range of applications, there is urgent need for sharing and combining the use of internet resources. Under such circumstances, the goal of this fast growing network computing technology is to integrate all kinds of resources such as storage, information, and equipment and to provide a unified service center that distributes and coordinate these resources across autonomous domains to satisfy the growing need for large computational capability, huge data process, and mul-ti-informaitonal services.Virtual machine technology has special characteristics such as transparency, isolation, encapsulation, and manageability. When we combine virtual machine technology and network computing technology, we are able to create, use, and remotely manage shared internet resources more conveniently and effectively, which will further help us to create an adjustable internet computing environment.In this paper, we have designed and implemented a virtual execution environment DVEE based on a virtual machine. This will realize the remote creation, allocation, monitoring, and management capabilities, which are able to effectively gather and share the widely scattered ho-mestructured and autonomous resources in the internet. This environment is also highly cus-tomizeable based on user and application preferences as well as a dynamic-created application execution environment.This paper will provide the following highlights:(1) Introduced a DVEE distributed running environment model and description in X ML schema. The system can support any customized XML schema that is compatible wi th DVEE model, which includes description for all necessary soft and hard components f or all virtual nodes and network structures. DVEE will parse the XML file and automati cally create virtual machines and establish execution environment in the internet domain.(2) Realized monitoring and management for remote virtual machine. Support users t hrough browsers with graphical user interface to effectively manage virtual machines on t he internet. Users can easily use DVEE building virtual execution environment for all th e different types of distributed application.(3) Proposed a user-based searching algorithm VMADA for virtual machines. The al gorithm has considered the capacity and dynamic load of resource provider to allocate an d schedule virtual machine, and it promotes DVEE system of load balancing and perfor mance optimization.(4) According distributed virtual execution environment DVEE model and system arc hitecture, we implement a prototype system of DVEE.
