Research And Implementation Of Resource Allocation Problem Based On Overlay Network

With the popularity of the Internet, the number of new applications increases quickly, and the request of new applications also enhance in such fields: including bandwidth, better security, quality of service, higher reliability, and so on. But the traditional internet can't perform well when it counters these problems, because the shortcoming of original design, the traditional network can't suit the new situation well.Through deeply analyze and research, we believe that we can't solve this problem only through advance the network layer, we also need to combine the demand characteristics of applications and the current network situation, use the idea of cross-layer optimization, and we add a new overlay layer between the tradition network and the new network application platform.This paper refers to the design principle of overlay, we advise an oriented multi-services model of architecture, based this model, we advise a network virtualization model for overlay resource allocation. After we have the theory model, we analyze the overlay resource allocation algorithm, and the algorithm is based on a multicast application. We do the performance evaluation at the end.
