The Shack-Hartmann wave-front sensor has been widely applied to measure wave-front and the wave-front slope. In this paper, the simulated turbulence is measured with the sensor, and the statistics characterizations of atmospheric turbulence are analyzed.Laboratory turbulence generator has been established by heaters and fans. Shack-Hartmann wave-front sensor is used to measure the turbulence. The phase structure functions are calculated from the wave-fronts measured. The results confirm the theoretical 5/3 power law approximately.By the method of differential image motion monitor, atmospheric coherent lengths in the longitudinal and transverse direction are calculated from the wave-front slope data. The values of atmospheric coherent length are almost the same, which indicates the turbulence has the statistics characterizations of atmospheric turbulence approximately. The effects of the aperture diameter and the outer scale on the measurements of DIMM are considered using the method of spectrum analysis. The result indicates that the effect of the outer scale is much greater than the effect of the aperture diameter. The normalized covariance is calculated, which shows the obvious effect of the outer scale.Elementary researches on the measurements of angle of arrival based on one-dimensional Shack-Hartmann wave-front sensor have been carried out. The centroids of spots are acquired by the program we designed. The effects of the aperture diameter and the outer scale on the measurements of correlation functions of angle-of-arrival with one-dimensional Shack-Hartmann wave-front sensor are also analyzed, which makes the academic preparation in the measurements of the homogeneous and isotropic turbulence and aero-optics.
