With the revolutionary explosion of biology-relatedinformation,how to process the massive biological information is prsented.Meanwhile,computer can deal with massive biological information because of its revolutionary develop-ment.Bioinformatics aims to organize these data,and extract new knowledge of biology from the data. This dissertation mainly studied on the 2 important task in bioinformat-ics-DNA sequence similarity analysis which is using discrete data,and feature selection for classification based on microarray which is using continuous data.The dissertation first introduces general dvelopments of graphical representation of DNA sequence,and similarity analysis based on them.Then propose a sequence repre-sentation based on dual nucleotides and a method for the similarity analysis based on the proposed representation.Second,we introduces gene classification and related Microarray technol-ogy.Some algorithms for feature selection are also introduced,laying basic theoretical and experimental supports for the research in the following chapters.A feature gene selection algorithm based on grey correlation analysis is proposed in this paper. Experiments following that showed it's validity.
