Power system is a large complex nonlinear system. It presents for a combination dynamic behavior of both continuous tendency and discrete tendency. Therefore, power system is a classical hybrid dynamic system. It's necessary to explore new numerical algorithms based on the characteristics of hybrid power system to cover the weakness of traditional ones. It has significant meanings for practical application and theoretical analysis. So in this paper, we mainly discussed the hybrid system theory for building hybrid power system numerical simulation algorithms, researched the method for event detection algorithm based on the control theory and its realization, analyzed the differential algebraic equations and stiff system which solved by Implicit method and multirate method respectively.
