According to the characteristic of channel in middle-voltage power line, a method based on the fractional Fourier transform for communication is proposed in this paper. The simulation results shows that the communication method greatly improves the performance of the middle-voltage power line communication system.First of all, the channel characteristic of the middle-voltage power line communication is analyzed and the simulation model of the channel is established; The program of the fractional Fourier transform is completed; Chirp signal is adopted as modulation signal, and further, the simulation model of the communication system is established; The performance of the communication system, for example, the improvement of SNR, low bitter error, anti-frequency selective attenuation is represented; The impact of parameter over system performance is analyzed, and communication system synchronism scheme is proposed. The communication system is suitable to middle-voltage power line channel, and the performance of communication system is fine.
