And it will effectively expand the social impact of the archives and lift the social status of the archives.By using the idea of the open access in the archival field, the protection, development, search and use of the archive information resources will be reengineered and strategically integrated, so that the archives can enter a big academic environment where the information resources are built and shared by all of the members. Then archives can do academic exchanges with other subjects and carry out the resource optimization and integration. The archive information resources will be used better and the archival science will develop better, too.In the network environment, by using the OAI-PMH, the discovery and access of information resources is more easily and effectively than before. The OAI-PMH have greatly improved the interoperability of the heterogeneous systems, and have provided a new way and solution to promote the knowledge-sharing of all the subjects. As a meta-data level interoperability protocol, it is easy to be used as the metadata format of which is Dublin Core. And it also support other XML code, such as EAD, TEI, and other metadata, etc. This happens to help the archives to changes its own ways of knowledge-sharing, academic exchanges and development and utilization.Now, the archival area of our country is still at the beginning step on research of the open access and OAI. By researching on the application of the ideas and technology of open access and OAI in archives, it will help lifting the efficiency of the use of archival information resource and promoting the service quality of archive use become better and better. At the same time, the network environment, research and open access to the OAI ideas and technology in the field of application file, the file will be subject to find a realization of interdisciplinary fields of academic exchanges and cooperation and sharing resources to build a way out.My analysis of the current situation facing the field of archives, through research OA and OAI, that they have applied to file with the feasibility of the field and build a OAI-PMH on the field, opening up access to the file mode.
