With the tremendous develop of computer science, It have come through the age of compute, the age of network. And now, the age of data is coming. Data is becoming the most important part of our life. In this situation, data storage becomes more important than any other time in the past. From a long time, the media for data storage is hard disk, which is the main cause of the low data require speed for its physical design. The imports of Raid method solve the problem in a certain extent. Now, the Object Storage System has become the trend of storage system. Because the OSS can perform more quickly, credibility, effectively and intelligently. It is reasonable to combine Raid method and OSS. With the combination of them, the storage system can retain the effective of Raid and the intelligent of OSS and become a perfect storage device. This thesis first, introduces the basic knowledge of Raid method and Object Storage System. Then it analyses and design an object storage device based on Raid method. What's more this thesis innovatively imports cache dynamic tuning method into the new Raid based OSD. And after that it use the combination of twin-cache-system, hash search, time window method to realize a cache module use in the Raid based OSD to maintain the hit radio of the storage device. At last, a simulation module is realized by the use of Zipf's law and temporal locality principle. And a test is made for the cache module. And you can see deep analyses for the test result made by the author.
