Nowadays, wireless-location is a new technology that puts forward in the recent years. The vehicle wireless-location system is an important application in vehicle tracing and navigation of mobile position technology. Researching on the wireless-location technology and designing reasonable vehicle wireless-location system has a very importance and practical meaning. And it also can dramatically benefit for city traffic.This paper according to the requirement of vehicle wireless-location in city traffic control system, combined the system structure of vehicle wireless-location system, compared wireless-location technologies and solutions in existence. This paper confirms the general design scheme of vehicle wireless-location system based on CELL-ID technology , introducing the composing, functional model, position structure, position process and important technologies. Then we implemented the prototype of the city-traffic control system. The main work of this paper is as follows:1. Compared and analyzed the pros and cons of current wireless-location technologies, then give out our design of wireless-location in city traffic control system.2. Carefully analyzed the main content and important technologies of whole program. Eminently analyzed the reason of low accuracy of wireless-location technologies, and then proposed several solutions to address this problem. Also analyzed and implement the coordinate-transition and map-matching algorithms which are proper in real city traffic environment.3. Based on the parameters of the experiment,Proposed road ahead algorithm and fixed routes algorithm combining improved algorithm,resolving larger error and local issues in systems, thus enhancing the accuracy of the positioning system as a whole.The result of the research carried out a detailed software application of vehicle position control system for public traffic. The application performs an effective control and management over the 3 layers of the whole system, which's met the design requirement and is running in good contidion.
