Visible And Infrared Images Information Fusion Technology Research

Visible and Infrared images information fusion is the combination of information acquired from CCD sensors and Infrared sensors in the same scene to acquire clearer description about the scene by using the temporal and special correlation, and their complementarity. This paper introduces the image fusion technology and the course of development of the basic theory of image fusion. We propose a new image fusion method by analyzing advantage and disadvantage of several common methods and studying those applicable environments, this method integrates several fusions which are suitable for little correlation among the multi-spectral images. Presents a comprehensive image fusion method, the algorithm based on wavelet coefficients modulus maxima and regional integration to maximize mean variance criteria and algorithms, this goal can highlight the spectral characteristics can show that the distinction between good natural and man-made objects objects.
