Research And Simulation Analysis On Reducing PAPR Of OFDM System

This thesis is focused on the research of the key technologies of the 4G mobile communication-OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Modulation). However, OFDM has the weakness of the high PAPR (Peak-to-Average Power Ratio) of the transmitted signal. Against these problems, the thesis has mainly focused on the key technology about reducing PAPR for the OFDM systems.For respective this technology, the thesis firstly summarize the algorithms from other papers, secondly research other representative algorithms of them. For example, SLM, PTS TR algorithms of reducing high PAPR in OFDM systems. Finally, the thesis has proposed a updated TR algorithm about reducing PAPR, with the advantage of high spectrum efficiency.Above all, the thesis presents a Simulation Platform of the whole OFDM communication system which includes the transmitter, channel and receiver. Then compare the differences between some algorithms by Matlab simulation.
