The validation of the testing ability of EMC laboratories can solve the problem of test data discrepancies among laboratories. Whereas the references to the EMC validation are scarce, this thesis emphatically analyzes the main procedure and methods applied in the radiation interference field strength test and the radiation disturbance power test.The procedures and methods of validation contain the disturbance generator stability validation, data process methods and uncertainty limits assessment. The disturbance generator stability validation involves the calculation methods of type A uncertainty, by which the generator is repeatedly measured and the standard deviation is calculated; the statistics calculation is particularly emphasized in the data process methods; the uncertainty limits assessing is applied by the calculation methods of type B uncertainty to calculate the combined uncertainty limits.In the radiation interference field strength test, after choosing the theoretical field strength expressions of dipole antenna, a program is wrote to calculate the warp of field strength introduced by the receiving distance and the height of transmitting antenna, then standard deviation and similar distribution types can be ascertained. Moreover, the program mentioned above is also used to calculate the difference in the abstract normalized site attenuation of 10m and 3m on open field.In the radiation disturbance power test, the model of absorbing clamp is qualitatively analyzed. The effects of the secondary absorbing clamp and the distance between the lead under test and the wall of the shield room are analyzed by the data and the model. Afterwards a deduced conclusion about the effects of factors is given.This thesis applies the validation methods to the test results processing and the uncertainty limits assessment in the two different types of tests mentioned above, so standard results and uncertainty limits are calculated. Finally, the result of the validation of testing ability of EMC laboratories is given.
