Design And Implementation Of The Student's Information Management System

In the now information age, advanced Management Information Systems the (MIS) theory is applied in the actual university educational supervisory work, will be able to raise the school educational management level and the work efficiency greatly,by gathering,transfaring,storing,processing ,maintaining, using the information of university educational administration and that will come the standard of university student's information management. Therefore,we have designed the student's information management system.The student's management information system is based on SQL server2000 and Visual the Basic (VB) programming theory. The characteristic of SQL server2000 is the perfect operating and analysising database, the VB characteristic is an general programming language which providing the user a kind of software platform can communicate with other software conveniently. VB unified the object-oriented technology by its convenient, the formidable interface design superiority, causes the software product's interface friendly. VB unifies SQL server2000 to be possible be called one of quickest database system development ways.The basic concept, the structure and development principle of MIS are elaborated in this paper. The actual situation of university educational administration work have been analyzed. According to the MIS theory to the student's information management system, we have made the plan,the data flow chart and the data dictionary of student's information management system. Various in above foundation, we also studied and constructed the functions module of student's information management system,realized the code design of it.In this paper we have introduced the (VB) connect SQL Server 2000 database through the ActiveX Data Object (ADO) and the technologies of the server memory process, have discussed the important operation which backup and restore data by administrator to ensured the database security in the system maintenance.This system has the good function completeness, the operation is simple, this system has tried in the continuing education institute over 3 months, obtained the user good affirmation.
