The simulation of natural phenomenon is very important in Computer Graphics area in these ten years; furthermore, the simulation based on fluid model is especially significant point of the research. Because of the complicate of the rule in the real world, it is becoming the core for adapting the rule of the world and retrying to show the movement on the virtual simulation. This paper adopts a method on the simulation of the cloud. In the virtual simulation, the traditional methods are hard to be competent for the complicate cloud simulation with the high requirement of realistic effects, because of the heavy calculation and high complexity. The complexity that physics calculates sometimes brings about grave function loss, so it does not satisfy the need that many pair of time demand to apply a field without end comparatively highly. Therefore, it is important to how to handle in secretly scheming within optesthesia error range to the person and keeping the speed. This paper is used fluid model system simulates as the target, to try to explore a fine balance between the sense of reality that physics simulates and efficiency , then it is satisfied for a little application.Due to the problems existing in simulation of cloud on the CPU, such as heavy calculation, low reality or difficulty in real-time simulation, this paper raises a new real-time simulation method based on fluid model and GPU acceleration. This method, based on the physical characteristics of clould, such as incompressibility, low density and inviscid, uses the fluid equations to calculate the properties of cloud. Then by accelerating this method through GPU, it achieves a good effect, which is continuous, dynamic and real cloud .
